IOM Announces Names of New Members

October 12, 2009 -- The Institute of Medicine today announced the names of 65 new members, raising its active membership to 1,610. In addition, the Institute elected five foreign associates, bringing the total in that category to 93. Election to the IOM is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of medicine and health.
